DESCRIPTION:Fall MRDC Informational Recycling Meetings\nThe Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency’s Recycling Outreach Team welcomes Town Transfer Station Operators from Ulster County to join us for an Informational Meeting for Municipal Recycling Drop-Off Centers. \nWe are offering two options to join: \nMonday\, November 9th 2026 \n10:00 am – 12:00 pm \nTown of Marlborough Community Center – 1520 US-9W\, Marlboro\, NY 12542 \nMonday\, November 9th 2026 \n4:00 pm – 6:00 pm \nUCRRA Main Office – 999 Flatbush Road Kingston NY 12401 \nThese meetings are important opportunities for Transfer Station operators to network among peers\, learn about the Agency’s Recycling Outreach Team Services\, and learn about community recycling education best practices. These meetings serve as an opportunity for transfer station operators to learn about the Agency’s progress towards future projects relating to reuse and food waste composting. Attendees will be able to collect complimentary copies of our flyers to support your recycling education efforts\, and hear about the resources available on the UCRRA website. \nPlease note that this meeting will be closed to the general public\, as it is intended for Municipal Transfer Station Operators. Join the UCRRA Recycling Outreach Team for a fun\, hands-on upcycling workshop where children will explore how everyday items can be creatively reused instead of thrown away. We’ll begin with “Sustainable Storytime” with It’s Only One by Tracy Corderoy\, a book about how small actions can help care for our environment and each other. Participants will then get to transform packaging paper into unique holiday gift wrap and festive decorations. Along the way\, they’ll learn simple ways to reduce waste and think creatively about the resources around them.\nAll supplies will be provided.
