Plastic Free July: Business Leadership Summit

It’s estimated that 46% of New York’s municipal solid waste comes from the commercial sector. Businesses and other Institutions play an important role in helping to reduce the waste stream, especially with concern to plastic food service containers and packaging. In this class, part of UCRRA’s Zero Waste Seminar Series celebrating Plastic Free July, our educators will help business managers understand the waste-climate connection. Participants will learn about case studies and practical tips for businesses to become green leaders and eliminate unnecessary waste!

Speaker:

Angelina Peone, Director of Sustainability at Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency

Melinda France, Recycling Educator at Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency
