The Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency DOES NOT offer curbside pick-up or dumpster service. Please read on for a list of permitted waste haulers authorized to haul trash/recycling in Ulster County, with some offering dumpster service as well. Please note: Each company has their own service area, pricing schedule, and guidelines as to what they do/do not accept for recycling. Recycling is mandatory in Ulster County and it is considered an unlawful act to acquire trash removal services without recycling services.

In Ulster County, municipal solid waste (MSW) is regulated by Flow Control (Local Law No. 10 of 2012), meaning all MSW generated in Ulster County must be brought to the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency. Haulers who pick up MSW in Ulster County must be permitted through the Agency. All of the following haulers have completed the Agency’s Flow Control Application and have been permitted to collect and dispose of MSW in Ulster County.
