Tarp Policy
| Untarped Load | $5 per load |
| All open vehicles must have their load covered with a secured tarp, per NYS DEC. This rule applies to all non-enclosed vehicles disposing of trash at either of the Agency’s transfer stations, regardless of the type of waste being transported or whether or not the waste is bagged. | |
Solid Waste Disposal Fees (Ulster & New Paltz Transfer Stations)

| There is an additional fuel surcharge based on DOE Index is adjusted monthly & assessed on all loads received @ Agency Facilities. |

Additional Waste Disposal Fees
All waste is subject to the $20 minimum fee per load. Additional fees apply to the following items.

Composting Fees (Materials Recovery Facility)

| 1 ton of compost is equivalent to appx. 2 cubic yards. | |

Residents & Businesses in vans, SUVs, pick-up trucks, dump trucks, or trailers can use either transfer station during normal operating hours.
Cars, such as four door sedans, hatchbacks, station wagons, sports cars, etc. can use UCRRA’s Kingston facility on Saturdays only.
No hazardous waste is accepted outside of our HHW collection events.
