Disposal Options for Residents
DROP-OFF SERVICES
Residents of Ulster County have the option to bring waste and recyclables to their Municipal Recycling Drop Off Center (MRDC), also referred to as a town transfer station. These facilities are owned and managed by the local municipality. View our list of Municipal Recycling Drop Off Centers, and contact the town transfer station directly with any questions.
Residents with large loads of waste may drop off waste, construction/demolition debris at UCRRA facilities, however residents may not drop off recyclables. Please carefully read our instructions for residential drop off at UCRRA.
CURBSIDE PICK-UP SERVICES
Residents of Ulster County have the option to have their waste and recyclables picked up at their curb by a commercial sanitation company. Recycling is mandatory in Ulster County, and all residents must request recycling services. View our list of Permitted Waste Haulers. Please contact the company directly with any questions.
