The October 10th collection event has been canceled due to concerns over COVID-19 and social distancing. This program will resume in the Spring of 2021.

Accepted Items
Please read the list of accepted items carefully, and contact UCRRA about any items not listed here.

  • Aerosols (spray cans)
  • Automotive cleaners & fluids (antifreeze, brake fluid, transmission fluid, oil filters, etc.)
  • Bug spray, insecticides, rat poisons, mothballs, etc.
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Fluorescent bulbs (CFL’s, UV, tubes, spirals, etc.)
  • Household cleaners (oven, toilet, drain, carpet, window, disinfectant, all-purpose, etc.)
  • Lawn & garden chemicals (pesticides, fertilizers, etc.)
  • Lead and oil-based paints, including spray paints.
  • Mercury, thermostats, thermometers
  • Mineral spirits, turpentine
  • Pharmaceutical waste (expired/unused medications, vitamins, liquid medications, pet medications, and medicated lotions and lotions)
  • Photography chemicals
  • Pool chemicals
  • Stains, varnishes, etc.
  • Sealants, adhesives, etc.
  • Waste fuels (kerosene, gasoline, propane, etc.)
  • Wood cleaners & stains (polishes, waxes, varnishes, sealants, etc.)

Unauthorized Wastes
These items are NOT ACCEPTED. Please read the list of unaccepted items carefully. Alternative disposal options may be found in our A-to-Z Recyclopedia. Please contact UCRRA with any questions.

  • Latex Paint
  • Motor Oil
  • Alkaline batteries
  • Explosives, ammunition, or fireworks
  • Asbestos
  • Radioactive materials
  • Waste in containers larger than 10 gallons
  • Smoke detectors
  • Empty containers with no product in them
  • Electronic items (computers, televisions, etc.)
  • Medical waste – (SHARPS, home use medical needles) or other etiological, pathological waste

Materials from businesses, schools, farms, or organizations are NOT accepted. Businesses, schools, etc. should contact a Hazardous Waste/Environmental Services Company.
