Pledge to Be Plastic-Free: Understanding the Waste-Climate Connection

We use plastic as part of our daily life at home, at work, at school, and on the go…Ever wonder where plastic comes from, how it’s made, and what happens once it’s thrown away? This class will explain the connection between waste and climate change and how our waste contributes to environmental pollution. This session kicks off Plastic Free July and the UCRRA Zero Waste Seminar Project. Our educators will share practical tips, skills, habits, and ideas on how to say no to unnecessary waste and simplify your life to be plastic-free!

The Zero Waste Seminar is a community engagement project by the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency, celebrating Plastic Free July and the many ways we can prevent pollution from our waste.
