Oil Filters

Puncture the dome end of the oil filter and drain any oil into a container for 12 hours, ensuring the filter is completely empty. If doing home oil-changes, don’t mix oil with other petroleum products or wastes! Store the oil in a clean plastic container with a tight fitting lid – and label the container! Refer to our guidance for MOTOR OIL. 

Recycle the filter with a scrap metal recycling facility and take the used motor oil to a service station.
