Oxygen Tanks

DO NOT put empty tanks in the trash or recycling bin.

UCRRA encourages residents to use the options listed below to the greatest extent.

DO NOT put oxygen tanks in the recycling bin.

Most vendors and medical suppliers who distribute medical gas tanks will accept used tanks through an exchange/recycling program. Contact the manufacturer listed on the tank, or whoever supplied the gas.

Large tanks that are completely EMPTY might be accepted at a local scrap metal recycling facility. Please call ahead for further instructions.
