INSTRUCTIONS
Receipt paper is widely NOT acceptable for recycling.
Thermal paper is a form of specialized paper that, when subjected to heat, changes color without the need of standard ink. It is commonly utilized in thermal printers for devices such as cash registers, credit card terminals, and adding machines.
Receipts contain chemicals that can contaminate recycled paper. BPA, the chemical used in most receipts, is hard to remove, during the paper-recycling process.
Receipts should be disposed of in the trash.
This item should NOT be composted at home due to the chemicals in the paper.
