X Ray Film

X-Ray films contain a very small amount of silver, which can be reclaimed only through special recycling programs. DO NOT put X-ray films in the recycling bin. If you wish to recycle these materials, ask your doctor’s office or local hospital if they participate in an X-Ray recycling program. You may also choose a mail-back recycling program option, but you should look for one that is HIPPA compliant and registered with the Environmental Protection Agency. X-rays contain sensitive medical information that is protected by law.

X-Ray films can be discarded in the trash if you do not choose to find a special recycling program.
