Please note the following changes that will take effect as of January 1, 2025:
- Tipping Fee: $135/ton
- Mattresses: per ton plus $10 each
- Bulk compost: $40/ton (minimum $20 fee per load)
Residents & Businesses in vans, SUVs, pick-up trucks, dump trucks, or trailers can use either transfer station during normal operating hours.
Cars, such as four-door sedans, hatchbacks, station wagons, or sports cars, are PERMITTED to use UCRRA’s Kingston facility on Saturdays ONLY.
NO cars, such as four-door sedans, hatchbacks, station wagons, or sports cars are PERMITTED to use UCRRA’s New Paltz facility.
No hazardous waste is accepted outside of our HHW collection events.

Tarp Policy

| All open vehicles must have their load covered with a secured tarp, per NYS DEC. This rule applies to all non-enclosed vehicles disposing of trash at either of the Agency’s transfer stations, regardless of the type of waste being transported or whether or not the waste is bagged. | |
