INSTRUCTIONS
UCRRA accepts yard waste at our Kingston location only, for the purpose of industrial scale composting, but UCRRA may not be able to accept some invasive plants, determined on a case by case basis. Please check out yard waste listing on the Recyclopedia and call ahead to confirm acceptance of any invasive plants prior to dropping off as yard waste. It may be appropriate to discard some invasive plants as trash, following the disposal guide linked below. Click here for UCRRA’s Fee Schedule.
Check out the fact sheets provided on the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation website linked here or in this disposal guide linked here. Contact the Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardener Hotline for more guidance. Call (845) 340-DIRT on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-Noon
