
Ask the Experts at the Kingston Earth Fair

The City of Kingston will be hosting its 12th Annual Earth Fair on Saturday, May 9 from 11am – 5pm at TR Gallo Park along the Rondout Creek. The City of Kingston Earth Fair will feature live music, food trucks, children’s activities, a free swap market, electronics recycling, electric vehicle displays, environmental and sustainability education, sails, boat rides, and more.
The Earth Fair is organized by the City of Kingston, in partnerhsip with Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, and the Hudson River Maritime Museum with support from Catskill Mountainkeeper, Wild Earth and The 8th Step.
As always, this is a FREE event! Visit the UCRRA Outreach Booth to ask the experts and learn about waste reduction, local recycling and composting programs, and more. Festival-goers can enter to win a compost tumbler for free, and other free give-a-ways – while supplies last. Hope to see you there!

RECYLING OPPORTUNITIES AT THIS EVENT
This event offers E-waste and Refrigerant-Device Recycling Available Free of Charge to City of Kingston residents. This year free, confidential paper shredding and recycling will be provided by Stericycle’s Shred it!

Computers (desktops, laptops, e-readers, tablets, etc.)
Computer peripherals (mice, keyboards, monitors, printers, etc.)
Small electronic equipment (DVR’s, DVD players, MP3 players, video game consoles, etc.)

*Recycling programs are open to legal City of Kingston residents only.
WARNING: Do not attempt to remove refrigerant or compressors yourself. Improperly handled refrigerant may result in physical harm. Only properly trained individuals using EPA-approved refrigerant recovery equipment should attempt to remove refrigerant from appliances. The City works with a properly trained refrigerant recovery recycler
