Assemblymember Shrestha’s Free community recycling day is back! Due to the high participation last year, this year’s event will be at a new, larger parking lot and there will be a limit of three boxes per person. Please register now and check out the full details below!
PAPER SHREDDING
Limit of three boxes per person. Documents will be shredded with advanced cross-cut technology that ensures comprehensive and secure document destruction. The shredded materials will then be provided to paper mills for recycling.
ELECTRONIC RECYCLING
Electronics Recycling is made possible with the support of Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency. Accepted Items include: Computers, Monitors, Laptops, Computer Peripherals (keyboards, electronic mouse/pointing devices), Small Scale Servers, Printer/Copy/Fax Machines, Digital/Video Cameras, Radios, Digital Music Devices, VHS/DVD Players, Video Games Consoles, Televisions (Cathode Ray Tube, Non CRTs), Cable/Satellite Receivers, Digital Converter Boxes, Cellphones, Office Phones, Phone Chargers, GPS or Navigation Devices and all wires or cables associated with these devices.
THESE ITEMS ARE NOT ACCEPTED:
Batteries (except when part of a computer), e-media such as CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, Freon Appliances (Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, Refrigerators), Gas Powered Equipment, Large/Small Kitchen Appliances (Stoves, Blenders, Fans, Coffee Makers, Toaster Ovens/Microwaves, Vacuums), Any Type of Lighting, Lightbulbs, Smoke/Carbon Detectors, Medical Devices, Typewriters, Calculators, Cash Registers, Thermostats, Motor Vehicle Parts, Industrial/Commercial Electronic Units, or any of the accepted items that are disassembled or contain broken glass (TVs/Computer screens).
**Be careful not to break any glass during transport. Devices with shattered glass, disassembled components, etc. may not be accepted.
