5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Wallkill Public Library

7 Bona Ventura Ave, Wallkill, NY 12589

This holiday season, let us make your celebrations easier, more affordable, and eco-friendly. We often find ourselves overindulging during the holidays, leading to a 25% increase in waste from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. Join UCRRA’s Recycling Educator, Tanesia White, for an insightful “trash talk” where you’ll discover creative DIY gift ideas for everyone on your list, get practical tips for reducing waste, and explore alternative disposal methods for those tricky holiday items.

Tanesia will be speaking virtually, but you can choose to attend the session either online or in person at the Wallkill Public Library. When signing up for this program, please indicate your preference.

Accessibility: The parking lot on the East side of the building, along Park Ave., has accessible parking. From that parking lot to the sidewalk, there is a wheelchair accessible ramp.  The event will take place in the reading room, which is on the main floor, and easily accessible. Unless you are sick, masks and social distancing are not required.

We strive to offer equal program opportunities. Educational resources in Spanish are available by request. If you require any special accommodations or have questions about this program, please contact Tanesia White, Recycling Educator, at TWHI@UCRRA.ORG or 845-336-3336.
