Holiday Upcycling Crafts For Kids
Saturday November 21st 2026
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Woodstock Public Library
10 Dixon Ave, Woodstock, NY
Celebrate the holidays while giving new life to old materials! Join the UCRRA Recycling Outreach Team for a fun, hands-on upcycling workshop where children will explore how everyday items can be creatively reused instead of thrown away. We’ll begin with “Sustainable Storytime” with It’s Only One by Tracy Corderoy, a book about how small actions can help care for our environment and each other. Participants will then get to transform packaging paper into unique holiday gift wrap and festive decorations. Along the way, they’ll learn simple ways to reduce waste and think creatively about the resources around them.
All supplies will be provided. This FREE workshop is suitable for children ages 5 and up, and parental supervision is encouraged.
*Sign Up Today and receive a gift when you show up!
This workshop will be presented by Eva Barnett, Recycling and Composting Educator at the UCRRA.
Inclusive, accessible classrooms are important to us.
Accessibility: The Woodstock Public Library has designated handicap spots near the entrance, a lift to accommodate 2nd floor access and accessible restroom facilities. If you have any questions or need assistance please call the library at 845.679.2213
