UCRRA 40th Anniversary Sticker Design Contest
June 30
We are celebrating our 40th anniversary by inviting young artists across Ulster County to participate in a community-wide Sticker Design Contest. Open to residents ages 8–18, the contest encourages creativity while promoting environmental awareness and waste sustainability.
Participants are challenged to create an original design that reflects themes of recycling, composting, waste reduction, and sustainability. The winning artwork will be professionally printed as a sticker and distributed by UCRRA’s Recycling Outreach Team at community events throughout the county.
Contest Details:
- Open to Ulster County residents ages 8–18
- Design must fit within a 2-inch diameter circle
- All artistic mediums are welcome, including hand-drawn or digital designs
- Submissions must be provided as a PDF or JPEG file
- Designs must include the text: “UCRRA est. 1986” and “ucrra.org”
- Please include the artist’s name, age, and town with all submissions
Entries must be submitted via email to eree@ucrra.org by June 30.
A panel will select the top six finalists, whose designs will be featured this summer for public voting online and in person during the Ulster County Fair. The contest winner will be announced in September.
In addition to having their design professionally produced and shared countywide, the grand prize winner will receive a free home composting bin and a UCRRA swag bag.
UCRRA encourages students, families, and educators to participate and help celebrate four decades of advancing waste reduction and recycling efforts in Ulster County.
