INSTRUCTIONS
Glass bottles and glass jars are widely accepted for recycling. All containers must be CLEAN and DRY.
Remove and recycle metal lids separately from glass containers. Remove and discard corks in the trash, or refer to our Recycleopedia list for CORKS.
DO NOT recycle windows, mirrors, ceramics, or other types of non-container glass in the recycling bin.
OTHER OPTIONS
Glass bottles that can be redeemed for their 5 cent deposit can be taken to reverse vending machines (beverage outlets, grocery stores, etc.) which is very helpful to the overall recycling system. Recycling glass in this manner generates a much more pure and clean stream of glass cullet that has a higher value than single-streamed glass.
