Paper plates are NOT acceptable for the recycling bin and should NOT be recycled like other mixed paper products.
OTHER OPTIONS
Instead of buying disposable paper products, choose to buy more reusable options when possible. Reusable items are better for the environment and your wallet!
Some unbleached, uncoated paper products may be successfully managed in backyard composting.
If you utilize a food scrap drop off site, be sure to get clarification on what types of these products (if any) are acceptable.
