INSTRUCTIONS
Rail road ties are considered construction and demolition debris (C&D). UCRRA accepts construction and demolition debris for disposal. Railroad ties must be cut down to be no more than 6 feet in length.
Please note ALL open vehicles (truck beds or trailer hitches) must have their load covered by a secured tarp. No exceptions or you will be subjected to a fee. Click here for UCRRA’s Fee Schedule.

Some C&D materials may also be accepted at Recycle Depot at (845) 452-3939 located in Poughkeepsie, NY.
If you use a hauler who picks up your waste curbside, please check with the company for their guidelines on putting C&D curbside.
You may also contact one of these haulers for C&D dumpster/roll-off collection services.
