INSTRUCTIONS
Refrigerators and freezers are Freon appliances; they contain refrigerant chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), and halons, which are harmful to the ozone layer and are very powerful GHG. Freon appliances require special disposal; view our Safe Disposal of Freon Appliances Guide.
UCRRA accepts Freon appliances, but please note other recycling options exist. If brought to UCRRA, our minimum load fee and a Freon Appliance charge will apply. Click here for UCRRA’s Fee Schedule.
