Please note: All donations of used goods should be in like-new or gently used condition to the greatest extent. Accepted items are subject to approval by the various charitable organizations or programs listed on this page. Please contact these organizations directly with all inquiries or to verify the acceptance of items.

Accepted Items:

Donations must be clean, mildew-free, and odorless. Donations are accepted during shop hours only, or by appointment. Call 845-802-0444 or email info@frugalfabrics.org.

Accepted items:
Fabric ¼ yard or more of any type
Unfinished Quilt Blocks or Toppers
Yarn of all types and quantities
Knitting, crochet, embroidery and sewing tools
Notions such as thread, pins, needles
Buttons, buckles, zippers, fasteners
Trims, bindings, ribbon, lace
Uncut Sewing Patterns of all kinds

UNACCEPTABLE Items:

Fabric or yarn that is stained, moth-eaten, musty/mildew-y or has a strong odor
Clothing, whole or cut up
Rugs, towels, bedding, or tablecloths
Feathers, down, foam, or old/used stuffing
Magazines and catalogues

  • Ice trays
  • Knick-knacks
  • Knitting supplies/yarn
  • Laundry baskets
  • Lighting/Lamps (like new, and in working order)
  • Luggage
  • Pots/Pans (must be clean and not chipped/damaged)
  • Small Kitchen appliances like toaster ovens, coffee makers (must be clean and in working order)
  • Small electronic items (some restrictions may apply – working or nonworking both accepted)
  • Vases/Ceramics

Please note: DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS OUTSIDE OF THE STORE WHEN THE STORE IS CLOSED!

  • Stainless Steel, ceramic, or glass Pots/Pans (no Aluminum, Teflon or enameled coated pans) (must be clean and not chipped/damaged)
  • Small Kitchen appliances like coffee makers, crockpots, rice cookers, blenders, food processors (must be clean and in working order) (no toasters or toaster ovens)
  • Vases/Ceramics
  • Misc. home decor
