Plastic Free July is a challenge that encourages people to reduce their reliance on single-use plastic disposables, reduce plastic pollution, and advocate for long-term solutions to the plastic pollution crisis throughout July and beyond!
Anyone can get involved, from reducing plastic for a day to truly challenging yourself and reducing plastic for a week, or the whole month! Plastic reduction can take place at school, in a business, at home, at work, or on-the-go.

About the Plastic Free Foundation: Plastic Free July® is a key initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation, which started with humble beginnings in 2011. The Plastic Free Foundation Ltd was restructured in 2017 as an independent, not-for-profit charity to better support participants and grow the campaign. The mission of the Plastic Free Foundation is guided and informed by core values including the belief that small changes add up to make a big difference. It was started by Rebecca Prince-Ruiz (the founder of the Plastic Free Foundation) and a small team in local government in Western Australia, and is now one of the most influential environmental campaigns in the world. Millions of people across the globe take part every year, with many committing to reducing plastic pollution far beyond the month of July.
